Tiffany & Co Finance with Dynamic Finance
An engagement ring is the most common reason people finance jewellery, and it is worth being practical about it. There is usually a deadline, the amount is often larger than planned, and nobody wants the finance to be the thing that delays it.
Tell us the date first. Personal loan decisions are usually quick, and knowing the deadline lets us tell you honestly whether it works rather than finding out late. The loan is unsecured, so nothing is held over the ring - it is simply yours.
How this differs from vehicle finance
A personal loan is not secured against what you buy. There is nothing registered on the PPSR over a watch or a piece of jewellery the way there is over a car, which changes what the lender is actually weighing up - the decision rests on your income and your existing commitments rather than on the item or what it might fetch second hand.
That has a practical upside. The money is not tied to a particular retailer or a particular item, so it reaches you rather than the shop and you buy as a cash buyer - here, privately, or from overseas.
It is worth being straight about the other side of that. An unsecured loan is still a debt with fixed repayments, and nobody being able to repossess the item does not make a missed payment consequence-free. All lending is subject to lender assessment and approval, and whether it is affordable for you is part of what gets assessed.
We are an independent finance broker. We are not a dealer, stockist or agent for any brand and have no connection to the retailers involved - we arrange the loan, the money reaches you, and where you spend it is entirely your business.
Why not put it on a credit card?
Plenty of people do, and for a small amount it may well be the simpler answer. The structures are genuinely different though, and the difference is worth knowing before you decide.
A personal loan
Fixed term, fixed repayments
- A set term, so there is a date it is paid off
- Repayments that do not move month to month
- The rate is fixed at the start
- One application across a panel of lenders
- Nothing held as security over what you buy
Revolving credit
A card or an overdraft
- No end date unless you set one yourself
- Minimum payments that shift with the balance
- Rates are variable and can change
- Whatever limit your existing provider will give
- Easy to add to, which is the appeal and the risk
How it works
Tell us the amount
What you want to borrow and roughly where your income and commitments sit.
We take it to the right lenders
One application, across the lenders on our panel who do unsecured personal lending.
Funds to your account
The money reaches you, not a retailer, so you buy wherever you were going to buy.
Find out what it would cost
Tell us the amount you have in mind and we will come back with real numbers - usually the same day. Asking does not affect your credit score and is not an application.
