Car and ute finance

Lotus Finance

Lotus spent decades building light sports cars and now sells electric SUVs and grand tourers alongside them. The two halves of the range are financed very differently. Dynamic Finance arranges finance for both.

Lotus Finance with Dynamic Finance

We are not tied to any dealership or manufacturer, so there is no sales target sitting behind the advice you get. We take one application to a panel of lenders and let them compete for it, whether you are buying new from a franchise dealer, used from a yard, privately or at auction.

Ask us for numbers before you start negotiating rather than after. Knowing what the repayments actually are puts you in a better position on the day, and it does not affect your credit score to find out. All lending is subject to lender assessment and approval.

Two very different propositions

An Emira is a combustion sports car built in limited numbers, and the fact that it is the last of its kind has helped it hold value. The Eletre and Emeya are electric, expensive, and have almost no residual history to draw on.

That difference matters more than the shared badge. On the sports cars a balloon is a reasonable structure; on the electric models it is a bet on a number nobody can yet evidence. We will show you both sets of figures and say which we would be cautious about.

Can I get finance if I am self-employed?

Yes. Self-employment is normal here and several lenders assess it properly rather than treating it as a problem. Without a full set of year-end accounts, some will work from bank statements and contract income instead.

Does asking for a quote affect my credit score?

No. Asking what something would cost is not an application and leaves no record on your file. Only a formal application does that, and we will tell you before submitting one.

Can I buy a Lotus privately rather than from a dealer?

Yes. We settle directly with the seller and run a PPSR check first, so you are not taking on somebody else's debt along with it. Private sales are routine.

Why not the dealer’s finance?

The finance desk at a dealership works for the dealership. That is not a criticism, it is just who employs them.

Dynamic Finance

An independent broker working for you

  • A panel of lenders, so the options compete for your business
  • The rate is not part of a deal being negotiated on the day
  • Private, dealer and auction purchases handled the same way
  • One adviser from application through to payout
  • No pressure to decide while you are standing there

Dealership finance

The finance desk down the hall

  • Usually one lender, or a small panel you never see
  • Finance margin is part of the deal being negotiated
  • Tied to the vehicle on their lot
  • Handed between salesperson, finance manager and lender
  • Best answered before you fall in love with the car
