Archibald Lake sits in Oconto County, Wisconsin - three hundred and ninety-three acres, fifty feet deep at its deepest, with a reputation for muskie and walleye. We cannot finance it, for three unrelated reasons, each of which would be sufficient on its own.

The three reasons, in order
It is a lake. We finance things you can drive, tow or operate, and a body of water is none of those. It is also real property rather than a chattel, which puts it outside asset finance altogether.
It is in Wisconsin. We arrange finance in New Zealand, for people and businesses based here, and our lenders assess New Zealand income and New Zealand credit history.
And nobody is selling it. Archibald Lake is not, as far as we can establish, on the market, which does tend to complicate a purchase.
What we can do instead
Boats, on the other hand, are squarely within our remit. So are the trailers that carry them and the utes that tow the trailers. If your interest in a lake is fundamentally an interest in being out on one, that is a conversation we can have properly.
We arrange finance for boats new and used, through a dealer or privately, and we check the PPSR before any money moves so you are not taking on somebody else's debt along with the hull. Trailer, motor and boat are often registered separately, which is worth knowing before you assume one search has covered everything.
All lending is subject to lender assessment and approval. Lakes remain unavailable.
So what do you actually finance?
Cars, utes, trucks, vans, trailers, plant and machinery, boats, motorbikes and caravans, plus unsecured personal lending. If you are not sure whether what you have in mind fits, ask - we would rather tell you no quickly than leave you wondering.
Will you tell me if you cannot help?
Yes, and early. A fast no is more useful than a slow maybe, because it lets you go and try something else while whatever you are buying is still available.
Can I buy a Archibald privately rather than from a dealer?
Yes. We settle directly with the seller and run a PPSR check first, so you are not taking on somebody else's debt along with it. Private sales are routine.
