If your name happens to be Keith Andrews, you are in luck. If you live in New Zealand and you need a new truck financed, you are in considerably more luck, because that is a real thing we do rather than a joke about surnames.

About the name, and then the actual point
We have built a small collection of pages on this site about names that get typed into search bars, and most of them end with us admitting we cannot help. This one does not.
We arrange truck and commercial vehicle finance across New Zealand - light, medium and heavy, new or used, through a dealer, privately, at auction or on import. If you have arrived here looking for a truck rather than a Keith, you have landed somewhere useful by accident.
What we will need from you
For a business purchase we usually need your IRD number, recent GST returns or financials, and details of the truck. If you are an owner-operator without a full set of accounts, say so - several of our lenders assess on contract income and bank statements instead, and we will point your application at them rather than at the ones that will decline it.
If you are refinancing an existing truck to free up working capital, we can look at that at the same time.
Financing a new truck
A new truck finances differently to a used one, and usually more favourably. There is a factory warranty behind it, no unknown history, and a longer working life ahead of it, which together tend to support a longer term than a used equivalent would.
Lead times are the complication. A new truck is frequently a build slot rather than something on a yard, and the gap between placing the order and taking delivery can be months. Finance approvals do not stay open indefinitely, so it is worth talking to us about timing rather than getting approved far too early and having to do it twice.
The structure should match how the truck earns. If it is going onto a fixed contract, the term can be built around that contract. If the work is seasonal, several of our lenders will look at annual turnover rather than the last three months, which matters a great deal if you apply in a quiet period. And if you are replacing a truck rather than adding one, tell us what is still owing on the old one - that is a normal situation and much easier to handle at the start than halfway through.
GVM and licence class are worth confirming before you commit. A truck that needs a class your drivers do not hold is an expensive discovery to make after delivery. All lending is subject to lender assessment and approval.
So what do you actually finance?
Cars, utes, trucks, vans, trailers, plant and machinery, boats, motorbikes and caravans, plus unsecured personal lending. If you are not sure whether what you have in mind fits, ask - we would rather tell you no quickly than leave you wondering.
Will you tell me if you cannot help?
Yes, and early. A fast no is more useful than a slow maybe, because it lets you go and try something else while whatever you are buying is still available.
Can I finance a used Keith Andrews?
Yes. The term a lender offers shortens as a vehicle ages, because they are looking at what it is worth at the end of the loan rather than today, but used purchases are the majority of what we arrange.
Broker or dealer finance?
Dealer finance is one lender with a target to hit. We are not.
