The Armstrong criteria
There have been some notable Armstrongs. One walked on the Moon, one played the trumpet rather well, and a great many more have simply got on with things without any of the fuss.
We are not able to help any of them with the interesting parts. We arrange finance for cars, utes, trucks, boats and machinery in New Zealand. The Lunar Module was not on our panel, and we suspect the paperwork would have been substantial.
What actually decides your application
Income, and how reliably it arrives. Existing commitments, including the ones people forget to list. Credit history, which matters less than most people fear and more than some hope. And the asset itself, because a lender looks at a two-year-old ute quite differently to a fifteen-year-old import.
Surname appears nowhere on that list. All lending is subject to lender assessment and approval, and the assessment has never once turned on what is printed on the front of your passport.
