Buying privately?
A lot of the best boats, bikes and vans are sold privately, and that is where finance usually gets awkward - the seller wants cleared funds and you want to know the money is safe.
We settle directly with the seller, check there is no money owing against it on the PPSR first, and handle the paperwork between you. You do not need to hand over anything before that is done.
Caravan or motorhome, and why it matters
A towed caravan and a self-propelled motorhome are financed quite differently. A motorhome is a registered vehicle with a warrant, a licence class and a road user charge attached, and lenders assess it much as they would any large vehicle. A caravan is a trailer, which changes the security position and often the term available.
Tell us which you are looking at and roughly what it weighs. Towing capacity is the thing people most often discover too late - the van they want is heavier than the vehicle they own can legally tow, and by then a deposit has been paid.
